charming stay

great location excellent breakfast friendly staff

i was charmed by the excellent location, so close to local attractions. the full english breakfast was superb , a great way to start the day. i also found the staff to be very friendly and helpful .

the car park opposite the hotel got very busy on the weekend.

the hotel benefits from a prime location near the cathedral and the castle. it is a short walk to steep hill , with easy access to town via taxi. there are also plenty of pubs and restaurants in close proximity.

great atmosphere comfy bed nice bar short walk

the breakfast was amazing with a good selection. the staff were great. the bar area was nice with a great selection of ales. i found the hotel is a short walk from the cathedral and castle.

the carpet really needed a good hover.. my feet were dirty after walking around the room.

The staff was very attentive to our needs. The room was quite nice (especially the décor). The location was great for seeing local sights. The breakfast included many choices.

mixed feelings on my stay

noisy floorboards lack of compensation

The location was alright. It was near some pubs.

my room was noisy, its floorboards creaked loudly. i could hear other guests too easily through the walls. the staff said i would get compensated for the room being a lower standard, but this never happened.
